⥋ Get to Know Me ⥋

I’m a twenty year old, born and raised in Portugal with a huge love for english culture and literature. Although portuguese is my first language I usually like to write and read in english and in doing so I was able to learn so much more about the language.

My hobbies include reading, writing, editing videos and exercise, although I wish I would make that last one a more regular event. I’m also very passionate about subjects like feminism, environment issues, gender equality, psychology, mental health, etc; and all of these are constant thoughts of mine.

Living outside the city I grew up with a lot of animals around me. Throughout the years there was never a moment where they weren’t a huge part of my life. Currently, I have two female dogs, Rosa and Ariel, and three female cats, Rita, Milú and Petra. They are all adorable, minus the cats, those are livings demons when they are in the mood to play.

⥋ Favorite Books ⥋

To give a more clear perspective of what I enjoy reading, here are some of my favorite books:

⦁ The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

⦁ The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

⦁ To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

⦁ Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

⦁ The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

⦁ I am a Hero by Kengo Hanazawa

⦁ Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

⦁ Harry Potter (all books) by J.K. Rowling

⦁ We Should all Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

⦁ Nijigahara Holograph by Inio Asano

I read almost from every genre but my favorites include fantasy and epic fantasy, science fiction, feminist books and horror manga. I usually don’t like or read books that only cover romance or christian fiction.

⥋ About the Blog ⥋

Nomuh’s Journal is a place to share my love for books, my thoughts and little bits of my life. In this space, you’ll find book/shows/movies reviews, discussions, lists, diary entries and so much more. It’s a very recent project and it resulted in me finally giving up on my wordpress.com blog and deciding to create a proper website.
